We reserve the right to issue penalties to accounts that have violated our Terms of Service.
Usually, we penalize accounts for:
-
Socially disruptive behavior toward other players (or Supercell staff)
-
Cheating or fraudulent activity that gains players unfair advantage over others
We believe everyone should be able to play our games without fear of belittlement, exclusion, or harassment. It’s never okay to shock or offend others, use hateful or abusive language, exhibit overly sexual behavior, or invite tension among players by explicitly affiliating with political ideologies. This kind of behavior is not acceptable in our games!
Our games are competitive by nature, which means we take fair play very seriously. Gaining an unfair advantage through foul play like the use of 3rd party software, sharing accounts, gaining cheaper in-game currency through fraud, or any other type of cheating, is not allowed. Such behaviors will not be tolerated.
There are 4 kinds of penalties we use in our games. Tap to learn more:
The severity or repetition of the behavior determines the penalty type and duration. Sometimes, a short mute lasting only a few days is enough to remind someone that their behavior was not appropriate. But, if the same type of behavior is repeated, we may mute the account for a longer period of time, or even suspend it. The same goes for severity: if the disruptive behavior is more serious, we might suspend an account instead of muting it.
If an account repeatedly displays highly inappropriate behavior (like hate speech), or continues to cheat or commit fraud, they will eventually get permanently banned. For extreme cases of illegal activity like systematic account theft, we will issue a permanent ban straightaway.
We know that it’s common to use words from trending memes or song lyrics to express oneself in-game. For the most part, we celebrate that sort of thing!
But, if that meme’s content goes against one of our policies, or if those lyrics contain words that some fellow players might find deeply hurtful, it doesn’t matter to us who wrote them down first—we will simply penalize the account that used the content in our game!

Please note, “socially disruptive behavior” and “cheating and fraud” may not be the reasons that you receive a penalty pop-up message. However, if you do receive a penalty, it will ultimately fall into one of those categories.

For some more specific examples of behavior that could result in an account penalty, see our list of unacceptable behavior.

Sometimes, an account may receive a pop-up warning but can still be used to play and chat as usual. This means the account has broken one of our rules, but only mildly, or even accidentally. As such, Supercell is simply sending a gentle reminder about our policies without issuing a penalty.
